East Houma Station

East Houma Fire Station is located at 2101 East Tunnel Blvd on the eastside of Houma. It houses Engine 3. Engine 3 is manned by a Captain, Fire Equipment Operator (F.E.O.), and at least one Firefighter. East Houma Station opened in 1974 under Fire Chief Benny Bourg and replaced the Greater Houma station about a half-mile away. It originally housed Engine 3 and Engine 6, until a station was built on the airbase.
